Field Experience: Supervision of and Consultancy on Electrical Installations.

Teaching job in BUET: Assistant Professor from 1983 to 1987, Associate Professor from 1987 to 1995, Professor from 1995 to 2019. Teaching job outside BUET: Chairman of the Department of EEE, Stamford University, Bangladesh. Also served as Professor of the Department of EEE in the University of Asia Pacific (UAP) and Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Bangladesh Army University of Science and Technology (BAUST), Saidper, Nilphamari. Consultancy: Served in consultancy, testing, and troubleshooting jobs at Bureau of Research, Testing, and Consultation of BUET. Conducted consultancy works in BPDB, BCIC, DPDC, MIST, Asugonj Power Company Ltd., Dhaka University, BCSIR, BEPZA, Energy Pac, BETELCO, RMG Sectors.

Research Experience:

Postgraduate Research Thesis Supervised: Covered various topics, including synchronous reluctance motors, rectifier controlled DC drives, transient performance of alternators, chopper-fed DC series motors, computer-aided optimization of power transformer design, micro hydro power generation, pitch control system for short-range aircraft, cost-effective micro step technology, and more.

Academic Scholarships, Honors, and Awards:

Government Scholarships to study in Russia. Scholarship and Gold Medal for securing the first position in Industrial Arts Group in SSC examination. Honors in MSc Engineering. Won a Best Paper Award in an international conference.

Publications:

Journal Publications: Multiple publications in Russian and English covering topics like commutator machines, magnetic fields in DC machines, eddy current modeling, synchronous reluctance motors, and more.

Conference Publications: Presented and published papers in international conferences on topics such as modeling of DC machines, mathematical modeling of synchronous reluctance motors, analysis of chopper-controlled DC series motor, and more. 

Presented at conferences on topics like the use of synchronous reluctance motors in the health-related field, superconductor applications in power generation, and simulation of transient behavior of low-power synchronous motors.
