Short Bio:
Dr. Mamunur Rashid has completed B.Sc. from Dhaka University in 1977. He also completed his M.Sc. from Dhaka University in Applied Physics & Electronics in 1979. He pursued his Ph.D. study and research in Electronics & Instrumentation for Nuclear Engineering from Kyushu University, Japan and awarded the degree in 1994. Dr. Rashid has served as a Chief Scientific Officer and Director of Physical Science Division in Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), Dhaka. He also served in University of South Asia, Dhaka as a Professor of CSE and Dean of School of Engineering. He has published 36 research papers including 13 in international journals.

Research Experiences
1994 to 2011 & 1983 to 1990 | Chief Scientific Officer (2005-2011), Principal Scientific Officer (1995-2005), Senior Scientific Officer (1987-1995) & Scientific Officer (1983-1987), Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission (BAEC), Dhaka. Field of works: Electronics & Instrumentation Was responsible for design and development of various instrumentation and control systems for INST and other institutes of BAEC. Developed an On-line Digital Reactivity Meter for the TRIGA Research Reactor of Bangladesh. Designed and developed a Microcontroller based Audio Conference Microphone System for BAEC. Developed a Data Acquisition System for the TRIGA Research Reactor of Bangladesh. Designed and developed a Parallel Port Interface Multichannel ADC for the Data Acquisition System. Designed and developed a number of instrumentation systems such as: Automatic AC Voltage Regulator, Power Protector, Temperature Controller, Public Address System, Solar Charge Controller, Bangla Display Digital Wall Clock, etc. (1983-1990). |
