The mission of the club:

Our primary mission is to prepare young people with the speaking and listening skills and cultural understanding they need to succeed. IUSDC believes every student should have the ability to express themselves. Hence, our activities help young people connect with the world, gain confidence in speaking, and listen to and acknowledge different points of view. Being part of the debate club will enhance speaking and listening skills, academic achievements, and a broad range of social, emotional, and interpersonal skills that are becoming increasingly relevant in the workplace.

The vision of the club:

Debate creates avenues for logical statements. Scholars Debate Club envisions a society where our university provides speech and debate programs to help students develop their communication, teamwork, critical thinking, confidence, English proficiency, and creative abilities.
