In the field of Engineering in Bangladesh, Electrical and Electronic Engineering are quite demanding and one of the most important parts. We are living in an era, where technical modernization and computerized work field makes it necessary to have a deep understanding to know the Electrical devices more and more. For this reason, the University of Scholars in Bangladesh introduces a wonderfully designed Electronic and Electrical Engineering course to upgrade the Engineering field in Bangladesh. We have world-class professional Professors to teach our students all the fundamental to high kinds of thoughts to upgrade their knowledge to a level that will make them different from other Engineers in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

Our Goals and Purposes:

Today’s Bangladesh as well as the whole world is solely dependent on technology and technological devices, and it’s not a matter of surprise as these devices need to be upgraded as time passes. To upgrade these devices and make Bangladesh more digital, we have to have more capable at the same time knowledgeable Electrical and Electronic Engineers in Bangladesh. The University of Scholars wants to make Bangladesh more digital and make the land of Bengal a proud nation in the section of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. To achieve this goal, we are offering our Electronic and Electrical Engineering subject with highly qualified teachers and well-designed curricula in Bangladesh.

Admission requirements in B.Sc. in Electronic and Electrical Engineering:

For the HSC or equivalent level of students:

  • Students must come from a Science background with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at SSC and HSC or equivalent levels.
  • At least GPA of 2.50 or 2nd Division in both SSC and HSC examinations;

OR

  • At least GPA of 2.00 either in SSC or HSC examination, but the total GPA in both of the examinations must be 6.00;

OR

  • For the English medium students, ‘O ‘ Level with at least 5 subjects and ‘A’ Level with at least 3 subjects and O-level and A-level students must have an average grade of B;

OR

  • In the case of the sons/daughters of Freedom Fighters, a total GPA of a minimum of 5.00 in both SSC and HSC Examinations. The official proof of the Father /Mother as a Freedom Fighter must be included.
  • The prospective students may need to sit for an admission test if required by the University committee.

For the Diploma Engineering students:

  • Students should pass SSC with Physics, Higher Mathematics & Chemistry GPA 2.5 and above.
  • Students can have three/four years Diploma in Electronic and Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh Technical Education Board (BTEB) with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4 .00

OR

  • A Diploma approved by BTEB with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.00 in any engineering subject from any recognized institute of Bangladesh.
  • Students should submit the proof of Physics, Chemistry & Maths at Diploma level.
  • The prospective students may need to sit for an admission test if required by the University Committee.

Admission Procedure of B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering:

The interested students to get admitted in Electronic and Electrical Engineering are welcomed to visit our admission office to grab the Admission form and they can also have a look at our prospectus from both the admission office and the reception desk of the University of Scholars in Bangladesh. After gathering all the necessary documents, the applicants are ready to deposit the admission fees and sign on the application form to complete the admission process.

The following documents are needed at the time of admission:

  • Two passport-sized color photographs (studio lab print with white background for ID card purpose).
  • Students will be required to have photocopies of SSC/O-Level, HSC/A-Level, Bachelor degree or equivalent examination certificates and mark sheets or transcripts and birth certificate or national ID card (one copy each).
  • Original certificates, mark sheets or transcripts and birth certificates, and national ID cards must be produced for verification by the officer in charge of the admission office of The University of Scholars.

Program Summary:

  1. Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in the University of Scholars in Bangladesh is a Four-year full-time program that consists of 12 regular semesters each of 4 months of duration. To complete this program, a student has to earn 154.5 credits among which 120 credits are of theory, 30.00 lab credits, 4.50 thesis/senior project credits, and a 0 credit in a remedial course.

Courses offered in the undergraduate program are divided into 8 sections:

1) English 2) Mathematics 3) General Education 4) Basic Sciences 5) Interdisciplinary Engineering Courses 6) Compulsory Remedial Course 7) Program Core Courses 8) Elective Courses. These elective courses are formatted to give the students advanced knowledge leading to contemporary industrial application and research in their chosen fields. There are 4 major divisions of elective courses, they are:

  1. Power, 2. Electronics, 3. Communication, and 4. Computer

Generally, these elective courses used to be offered in the fourth academic year like on the 10th, 11th, and 12th semesters. A student should choose seven elective courses of 25.50 credits out of which four from his/her chosen major fields and three from any of the other major fields as minor.

Course load may vary in different semesters according to the credits taken by the students. In the last academic year, students have to complete a Thesis/Senior Project under the supervision of a faculty. All theory courses in the Electrical and Electronic Engineering program are of 3 credits each and are allocated 3 required hours of teaching. All the lab courses are of 1.5 credits and allocated 3 required hours of teaching for each lab course. The remedial course is equivalent to 1.5 credits and 3 required hours. But a student will earn 0 credit in this course.
